<h3>"Think Different¹"</h3>I was curious to learn a little more about Pete Hegseth. So, first, I tasked an AI, Grok (free version, not the $30/mo version). Grok is said to be a bit reflective of a certain modern conservative mindset. To find which generation SecWar belongs to, it came back as "Late Gen X." The explanation of Late Gen X's tendencies and traits was interesting. However in looking at Gen X’s profile, I cannot see a Gen X-er going all-in full Trump, except for expectations of personal gain; therefore, being all-in-full-Trump is most likey false. Next, I tasked Grok with finding whether Hegseth's favorite music was on record; it is. SecWar is very partial to contemporary Christian Music. Further, the AI suggested listening to David Crowder. The AI reported that in a 2024 Fox News segment (shared via his social media), Hegseth hosted contemporary Christian music artist David Crowder (formerly of the David Crowder Band). In his post promoting the appearance, Hegseth described Crowder positively and highlighted his “amazing musical talent,” while encouraging viewers to check out Crowder’s new album <a href="https://youtube.com/shorts/chPCfAnOKe8?" target="_new">Exile²</a>. I only listened to the first track. My initial reaction was "This is creepy!" But I might let it sit, then listen to it again.Note: My own music preferences might seem creepy to some, e.g., Modern Folk (Pete Seeger, Early Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Tom Paxton), Progressive Rock ( Pink Floyd, Genesis), Frank Zappa, Jazz Fusion (Miles Davis), Avant-garde Jazz (John Coltrane, Miles, Zappa), etc. [1] I strongly suggest that you, dear reader, [re-] watch this Apple Computer advertisement. Today, in 2026 it sent a very unexpected chill down my spine.
